PREPARING FOR GOTAK

It is highly recommended to take the practice tests for each subject (Maths, Science, English, Cyber, G.K and Reasoning) before attempting GOTAK. This will give the student a fair idea of the level of questions that can be expected in the actual assessment.

Since only one attempt is allowed, the student should try and good scores in these practice tests.

ONLINE. The child will take the online assessment paper from the comforts of home. Only 1 attempt is allowed.

  • Section 2 - Science - Higher order thinking. (15 questions).
  • Section 3 - Mathematics - Higher order thinking. (10 questions).
  • Section 4 - Cyber. (05 questions).
  • Section 5 - English. (05 questions).
  • Section 6 - G.K. (05 questions).

    • TIME ALLOWED

  • 90 Minutes.

  • Section – 1, Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning (10 questions): Patterns, Analogy and Classification, Coding-Decoding, Mirror Images, Embedded Figures, Grouping of Figures.
  • Section – 2, Science (15 questions): Plants & Animals, Food and Digestion, Matter and Materials, Force, Work and Energy, Earth and Universe.
  • Section – 3, Maths (10 questions): Numerals and Number Names (5 digit numbers), Roman Numerals, Addition and Subtraction, Geometry: Square, Rectangle, Circle, Closed and Open Figure, Multiplication and Division, Fractions, Measurement, Data interpretation, Money, Time, Weight and Capacity.
  • Section – 4, Cyber (05 questions): Evolution of Computers, Parts of Computer, Input and Output Devices, Hardware, Software, MS-Word, Using Windows, Introduction to Internet and Its Uses, Computer Networks, MS-Paint.
  • Section – 5, English (05 questions): Synonyms, Antonyms, Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives, Contractions, Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Tenses, Punctuations and Jumbled words.
  • Section – 6, G.K (05 questions):Classification into indoor and outdoor games, Elementary questions on various popular sports like cricket, football, hockey, basketball, skating, badminton, etc. Players related to the games, Great personalities, Important days, Cartoons and movies.
