NSO Syllabus for Classes 1 to 10 - Latest exam pattern
The National Science Olympiad (NSO) is one of the most popular Olympiad exams in India. It aims to promote scientific thinking among school children and identify and nurture talent in the field of science. The National Science Olympiad (NSO) syllabus is divided into three sections for each class, ranging from 1st to 12th.
Section 1 covers the Logical Reasoning section, which includes questions related to Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
Section 2 comprises the Science section, which covers all the relevant topics and subtopics.
Section 3 is the Achiever's section, which contains Higher Order Thinking Questions. It is advisable to move to this section only after completing the previous two.
For Level-I NSO, 60% of the questions will be based on the current class syllabus and 40% from the previous class syllabus. For instance, Class-8 NSO exam will have 60% questions from the Class-8 syllabus and 40% questions from the Class 7 syllabus.
For Level-II Olympiad exams, questions will be based on the current class syllabus only. The ACHIEVERS SECTION will also feature questions based on the current class syllabus only.
