INTERESTING FACTS - PRIMROSE

Wine and tea can be made from the early flowers of Primroses.

As per old English mythology, children who eat a Primrose might see a fairy.

Another superstition is in Germany, where it is believed that the first girl to find a primrose at Easter would get married the same year.

The Greeks used to call the primrose as “flower of the 12 gods”.

The 'Primrose way' or the 'Primrose path' was coined by Shakespeare to convey a lazy but pleasant journey of life.

On an average, most species of primroses grow to a size between 10 to 20 inches. However, some could be as short as 2 inches or as tall as 4 feet.

There are about 500 to 600 species of primroses.

Most species of primroses are perennial in nature, However, some are annual.
