Submissions are now open for the International Poetry and Art Contest 2024-25 hosted by Never Such Innocence. The deadline is February 28, 2025.
About Never Such Innocence
Never Such Innocence began as a project commemorating the First World War, engaging children and young people to create poems, artwork, and songs inspired by this event.
Since then, over 11,000 young participants from 47 countries contributed their work. Now, the focus has broadened to include conflict across all time periods, including current global conflicts.
To date, young people from over 125 countries have participated in workshops, special events, and international competitions through two core programs: Conversations on Conflict and Voices of Armed Forces Children.
Contest Details
The competition marks the third year of the Conversations on Conflict program. This year’s theme asks participants to reflect on the question: How can we prevent future wars?
Explore how individuals, communities, or nations can contribute to peace, learn from past conflicts, and offer advice to leaders. Participants can express their thoughts through poetry, art, speech, or song. Each category can be entered once, and there is no fee.
Eligibility
The contest is open to children and young people aged 9-18 worldwide.

The categories are structured to ensure equal opportunities for children in the same school year, with final categorization at the discretion of the contest organizers.
