About the Contest
The Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest, hosted by Winning Writers, marks its 24th year of celebrating humorous poetry. The contest invites clever, witty, or hilarious submissions.
Contest Guidelines

Each participant can submit only one poem.

Maximum length: 250 lines.

Both unpublished and previously published works are accepted.

Eligible to participants from all countries except Syria, Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Russia, and Belarus due to U.S. restrictions.

Submissions must be in English (nonsensical gibberish accepted).

Poems created with AI tools (like ChatGPT) are generally not allowed unless the results are exceptionally funny. Pre-approval from organizers is required for AI-aided entries.
Prizes
The contest offers over Rs. 3L / $3,750 in prizes, including:

First Prize: Rs. 1.6L / $2,000 + a two-year Duotrope subscription (worth Rs. 8k / $100).

Judging Process
The judging panel, Jendi Reiter and Lauren Singer, will evaluate submissions anonymously to ensure fairness, focusing solely on the poem's merit.
