Unseen Passage for Class 7 - Passage 13

Anna was always fascinated by the old bookstore on the corner of her street. Its weathered sign, "Whimsical Books," beckoned readers with promises of adventure and mystery. One rainy afternoon, Anna decided to venture inside. The musty scent of old books greeted her as she stepped through the creaky door. Shelves lined with volumes of all shapes and sizes towered around her, each one seeming to hold secrets of its own.

Anna ran her fingers along the spines, reading titles like "The Enchanted Forest" and "Lost in Time." She felt like she was in a magical world of her own. As she reached the back of the store, her eyes fell upon an ancient-looking tome resting on a pedestal. Its leather cover was adorned with intricate symbols, and Anna felt drawn to it as if it held the answers to her deepest questions.

Just as Anna was about to reach for the book, a voice startled her. "Curious about that one, are you?" said a wizened old man behind the counter. His eyes twinkled with wisdom, and Anna felt a shiver of excitement run down her spine.

The old man introduced himself as Mr. Finch, the proprietor of Whimsical Books for over fifty years. He regaled Anna with tales of far-off lands and magical creatures that lived within the pages of his bookstore. As they talked, Anna felt like she had found a kindred spirit in Mr. Finch, someone who shared her love for the written word.

Before she left, Mr. Finch placed the ancient tome in Anna's hands. "This book has been waiting for someone like you," he said with a smile. "Take it, and may it lead you on the greatest adventure of all."
