About the Competition
Get ready for an exciting global tech adventure! Microsoft Imagine Cup Junior 2024 is now open for students aged 5-18 worldwide to showcase their tech skills. In its fifth year, Imagine Cup Junior offers an opportunity to explore technology's potential to solve big challenges.
This year, a new category for young innovators aged 5-12 focuses on Technology for Good. Special lessons are designed for them, making it a perfect starting point for budding tech enthusiasts. For older students (13-18), a lesson on Generative AI is added to the AI for Good competition.
How to Join the Fun?
Registration for Imagine Cup Junior opened on January 10, 2024. Team Leaders, like educators or parents, can sign up their student teams until May 8, 2024, 23:59 (GMT+0).
Teams will explore AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity through Resource Packs, tailor-made for different age groups. Team Leaders get access to everything they need to guide their teams, from lesson plans to judging criteria.
Resource packs
Resource pack - For ages 13-18:
Starter Kit with six lessons, guides, templates, and more. Advanced Deep Learning Modules for deeper understanding. Toolkit for Team Leaders with certificates and promotional materials.
Resource pack- For ages 5-12:
Beginner Kit with five lessons, playbook, templates, and rules. Toolkit for Team Leaders to support student learning. Teams will work together to create original projects addressing Microsoft's AI and Tech for Good initiatives, using our submission template.
Prizes Await
The top 10 global winners will be announced on June 13, 2024, on the Microsoft Education blog. Ready to dive in?
