Exciting Opportunity Ahead! The Bow Seat Ocean Awareness Contest 2024 is now open for applications! Now in its thirteenth year, this contest offers young people a chance to explore their connection to our changing world through art and creative expression, while also becoming advocates for positive change.

It's open to international students aged 11 to 18. The Tell Your Climate Story Ocean Awareness Contest for 2024 invites students to research climate change's impact on the ocean and experiment with new ways to raise awareness about this critical issue. They're seeking original works that challenge traditional ideas about effective climate communication.

Eligibility:

• Students aged 11 to 18 worldwide are eligible.

• Choose the Senior Division (15-18 years old) or Junior Division (11-14 years old) based on your age at the time of entry.

• Individuals or groups of any size can participate.

• Each student must have an Adult Sponsor, like a mentor or teacher.

• Students already in college or university are not eligible.

• Film

• Performing Arts (Music & Dance)

• Interactive & Multimedia

• Visual Art

• Poetry & Spoken Word

• Creative Writing.

Note: All entries must be original. While research is allowed, plagiarism will not be tolerated. Entries must be in English or include an English translation.

• Your entry in one of the specified categories

• A title for your entry

• Written analysis

• References used

• Adult sponsor's contact details

• Parent/guardian consent (if under 13)

• The application process is free.

• Submit your work online by June 10, 2024, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (ET).

• Email or mail submissions are not accepted.

• Ensure you have an Adult Sponsor and that your creation is made between September 2023 and June 2024.
